Sequential Potential

I have a new website entitled Sequential Potential.

It is currently live and I put a permanent link in the menu above.

Sequential Potential will eventually house all of my inter-married art & science comic projects that have been impossible to envision on this site (And therefore no one but friends I personally talk to know about them). Until this week, it’s actually been pretty “dead” here on darickritter.com. I haven’t posted since 2016. But there has been a very good reason for this: I’ve been busy working. But smooshing my comics about science next to old paintings and inarticulate drawings, couldn’t be done in a tasteful way.

So I chose not to smoosh.

Sequential Potential will become the new info zone of graphically inspired science…

In my dreams, it is the beginnings of a network between artists and scientists interested in dispensing ideas and concepts intelligently across our delicate infosphereIn my dreams, it is also a worldwide phenomenon

…but my web designer has cautioned me to think in baby steps, much to my frustration.

I was forced to learn my lesson.

The website for Sequential Potential began in 2018. But its development was put on hiatus due to the firestorm of moving my entire life from the west coast to Nashville, Tennessee (an utterly discombobulating experience, as you might imagine). I have a new website entitled Sequential Potential.

But its development was put on hiatus due to the firestorm of moving my entire life from the west coast to Nashville, Tennessee (an utterly discombobulating experience, as you might imagine). My wife was offered an opportunity that we could not pass up for professional and personal reasons. So we packed up our bags and all our plans and awaited for a time of reason to return.

Now we finally rest, with a new home, new city. We’re unpacking our lives again.

The site is obviously incomplete but it does display my first published comic in full, Segregation by Design (published earlier in September ’18 from the identically titled book). For anyone out there interested in helping solve the endemic racial antipathy plaguing our society, please give the book–or at the very least the comic a read.

I’m ready to take the current iteration of Sequential Potential to the next level and have devoted some time in the future to clarify its aspirations of reaching out to academics, creating opportunities to rethink our language and for artistically molding information in ways that can be understood. was offered an opportunity that we could not pass up for professional and personal reasons.
